BRIGITA REISON, SOPRANO

 The upcoming opera singer Brigita Reison, comes from a musical family and started the musical career at a very young age, when she started to play violin and went to see her first opera, that aspired her to become a singer herself. After she graduated Jazeps Medins Music College, she studied with famous Latvian soprano Kristine Gailite, as her vocal teacher in Jazeps Vitols Latvian Music Academy, where she graduated with excellence in 2025.In the Summer of 2023 Brigita sang in the International Jurmala Festival, in the concert Born in Latvia conducted by Maestro Ainars Rubiķis, singing alongside the world famous Latvian tenor Aleksandrs Antoņenko. Not long after, she sang in a concert with Lithuanian State Symphony orchestra, conducted by Martynas Staķionis in Biržai castle in Lithuania, and sang a Gala concert of Summer Campus Gala concert together with Norddeutsche Philharmonie orchestra conducted by Maestro Marcus Bosch.At the end of year 2023, Brigita had a debut in a mono opera "The ugly duckling" by Sergei Prokofiev, alongside Latvian National Symphony orchestra conducted by Andris Vecumnieks. Brigita made her opera debut in Latvian National Opera and Ballet at the start of 2024, singing the role of Pipinella the Canary in beloved Birds Opera by Latvian composer Jānis Lūsēns, conducted by Andris Veismanis. Brigita Reison sang the role of Anina in Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata in the summer 2024, in Sigulda Opera festival alongside a world famous interpret of the role of Alfredo - Dmytro Popov.In 2023, Brigita participated in the prestigious Hans Gabor Belvedere International singing competition, where she got through to the final rounds in Dortmund, Germany. In the same year, she also got through to the final rounds in another prestigious contest - Klaudia Taev International Singing competition in Pärnu, Estonia.  At the end of 2023 Brigita got a GRAND PRIX in Inese Galante talent competition for vocal category and in 2024 she also got GRAND PRIX and Special Prize in the international Monika Swarowska-Walawska vocal competition .
